Experienced quality engineer with an emphasis in manufacturing processes - particularly aerospace machining and associated processes. Responsible for assuring that quality requirements are flowed down from customer purchase orders, blueprints, 3D Models and technical specifications to Job Travelers, and or related work instructions. Implement Root Cause and Corrective Actions on nonconforming material. Full-time, hourly, day-shift position.

Responsibilities:

• Identify new and unique quality processes or inspection techniques and prepare inspection and test instructions for the inspections
• Interpret blueprint and technical specifications
• Review Job Travelers and or work instructions to assure flow down of quality requirements
• Analyze areas of quality cost and implement root cause corrective action for overall reduction in quality cost
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of statistical process control techniques

Requirements:

• A technical degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Quality) or 5 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is a plus
• 3D CAD Software: NX and CATIA experience is a plus
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and MSWord with efficient keyboarding skills
• Applicant must be a U.S. Person
• Experience in aerospace industry is a plus
• Applicant must be knowledgeable and experienced in manufacturing processes
• Strong work ethic is a must
• Good verbal and written communication skills is necessary
• Ability to work with others in a team environment and be highly self-motivated
• Must have a forward-thinking mindset, thrive on a challenge and be able to think “outside the box”
