Job Expectations & Responsibilities
-
Must be fully versed in standard industry quality assurance and quality controls.
-
Must be familiar with standard problem solving practices and methodology and applying those.
-
Must understand types of measurement, measurement terminology.
-
Fully verse of understanding various measuring tools and techniques.
-
Reading and interpreting blueprints and fully competent in selecting proper measurement tools for various measurement applications.
-
Must have basic calibration knowledge.
-
Must have basic familiarity with statistical process control and concepts.
-
Must be able to identify and report nonconforming material.
-
Performs and approves in-process and final inspections by; conducting visual and or measurement inspections; conducting conformance to bill of materials inspections; and completing process inspections.
-
Document and maintain accurate records of inspection and rejected production parts and assemblies.
-
Reports and documents quality problems and potential quality problems to Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Supervisor, and Manufacturing Engineer.
-
Follow all EH&S and quality policies and procedures and proper work instructions, including PIV Cardinal Rules.
-
Actively participate in daily housekeeping and utilize the ACE 5S principles to promote continuous improvement , including turn backs, assist in providing appropriate solutions for QCPC data.

Attend tool box meetings.
-
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Education and/or Experience
-
Two years of on-the-job experience in Quality inspection or equivalent.
-
A high-school diploma or equivalent.
Environmental Exposures
-
Exposed to heat, noise, dust, dirt, and moving machinery, 100% inside work. Must be aware of moving machinery.
Physical Demand Category (P.D.C.)

35lbs. If item weighs more than 35 lbs., employee must ask for assistance in lifting and/or use the appropriate crane, forklift or other lifting devises.
