General Purpose Of Job:

· Performs a variety of tasks associated with the manufacturing operations of solid phase plates for the client products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performs task and administrative aspects of the operations according to department procedures, specifications or work instructions (job orders), including starting up and breaking down operations, clearing operation areas, calculating component usage, verify counts of products in and out of operations, visual inspection of product for defects (25% of assigned tasks)

· Operates and maintains department equipment which may include Oyster Bay equipment, computers, printers, refrigerators, trolleys, and carts according to department specifications (45% of assigned tasks)

· Identifies and troubleshoots incorrect performance of department equipment (5% of assigned tasks)

· Moves, stores and inventories product and solid phase supplies according to department specifications (10% of assigned tasks)

· Reads thermometers, recording charts and gauges as specified by department procedures (5% of assigned tasks)

· Understands source of products and associated chemical and biosafety hazards (5% of assigned tasks).

Responsibilities:

· Performs manufacturing operations according to department procedures, specifications or work instructions (job orders) and completes tasks within procedure/work instruction-defined time frames (meets responsibility 96% of time)

· Creates legible written records within procedure/work-instruction-defined time frames (meets responsibility 96% of time

· Verifies accurately product produced and labeled (meets responsibility 100% of time)

· Follows appropriate control measures to prevent mixing of dissimilar solid phase components or product (meets responsibility 100% of time)

· Calculates accurately solid phase components used, rejected or returned (meets responsibility 98% of time)

· Follows applicable laboratory OSHA safety regulations with respect to chemical hazards, blood borne pathogens, etc. (meets responsibility 100% of time)

· Performs department and equipment maintenance and calibration and environmental monitoring according to applicable procedures (meets responsibility 99% of time),

· Understands FDA regulations and ISO standards applicable to department operations and consequences of nonconformances (meets responsibility 75% of time)

· Meets achievement levels established for competency evaluations, if applicable (responsibility levels defined by competency procedures)

· Maintains a neat, clean and orderly work environment

· Actively participates in the training of new employees.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Must be available to work irregular hours as necessary to meet production schedules, assigned work shift and occasional overtime. 5-7 years of work experience
