We are seeking Quantum Computing Subject Matter Experts to join our company supporting a Federal Government project for the Department of Homeland Security’s Advanced Computing Branch of the Science & Technology Directorate (S&T). This person will provide expertise and conduct core scientific research to develop cross-cutting solutions that address current and future homeland security challenges.

SME support activities include but are not limited to:

• 
  Providing expert technical information (e.g., state of the art techniques, lessons learned, expert judgement) related to execution of a program;
• support to core research activities such as performing background research related to a technical objective and delivering a technical report; and
• giving expert opinion, generating draft technical presentations, and delivering technical meeting synopses for technical exchanges and workshops.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  Ability to manage all tasks and schedules to ensure activities are completed in a timely manner
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
• Ability to absorb, integrate and interpret data through various methodologies
• Ability to research, analyze and compute mathematical, physical and scientific data
• Ability to apply advanced methods and techniques in a particular field of scientific specialization.
• Ability to develop, recommend and refine methods, theories and techniques to evaluate solutions to complex problems and to enhance performance standards, quality and productivity.
• 10 years of experience; 5 years with an advanced degree for Level I
• 15 years of experience; 10 years with an advanced degree for Level II

Desired Qualifications:

Experience and/or expertise in:

• Quantum Computing
• Quantum Sensing

Education:

Certification, Masters or Ph.D. Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or related fields

Clearance:

TS / SCI Clearance is Required at EOD

Due to the nature of the work US citizenship is required.
