Position Description
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for taking high quality digital radiographs and performing CT examinations for diagnostic purposes. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs general radiographic and CT examinations.
- Demonstrates and maintains clinical competence in caring for neonate through geriatric patients.
- Sustains thorough knowledge of sterile techniques and ability to function c-arm in the operating room.
- Maintains effective communication with patients, nursing staff, and medical staff.
- Effectively uses an electronic health record (EMR), radiology information (RIS) and PACS.
- Visually assesses patient safety needs and is responsible for patient's physical safety while in radiology.
- Uses ALARA philosophy during all exams.

Position Requirements
- Completion of a two year American Medical Association course in Radiology Technology
- Current Iowa General Permit to Practice
- Possession of certification of ARRT/eligible
- BCLS certified for healthcare providers and Mandatory Reporter completed within 60 days of hire
