Railroad Flaw Detector Technician
HEAVY TRAVEL POSITION!! Must be able to travel 3 - 4 months at a time!
100% Travel over the road
Paid: Room & Board/ Lodging for business purposes
Paid: Transportations for business purposes
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Operate and Maintain the Yard Testing Vehicle (YTV)
Operate and maintain the included portable rail detector (walking stick).
Hand Test locations indicated by the portable detector and YTV.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Generate daily reports as required by the customer.
- Operate and maintain the testing equipment as required.
- Perform daily pre trip inspections on the truck, trailer, and YTV as required.
- Communicate on a daily basis with the customer concerning schedule, daily production, and work locations.
- Communicate with company management on a regular basis.
- Complete weekly expense, and other reports as required by the customer or Sperry and submit them in a timely manner.
- Tow the enclosed 16 to 18-foot enclosed trailer containing the YTV to the testing location each day.
Ensure company vehicle and trailer are maintained in good condition and serviced as required.
