SmithCo Ranch Enterprises is a family-owned ranch and land development company located near Lampasas, Texas. We also raise and sell white-tail deer, exotic animals from all over the world, as well as angus and longhorn cattle. We are currently seeking to add one or more qualified individuals to our small, but growing team.

Description: Tasks include: day to day care of whitetail deer, cattle, and exotic animals, filling corn and protein feeders, general ranch maintenance, fence repair, road maintenance, putting out hay, mowing, weed eating, pulling weeds, trimming trees, cutting firewood, tractor work including shredding, plowing, planting. Assist with animal capture and relocation. Assist with ranch development projects.

Skills and Qualifications

• Holds current and valid Driver License
• Must have reliable means of transportation to and from jobsite
• Must be in good physical condition and have a willingness to work outside
• Proficient with ranching equipment and heavy machinery, such as tractors, plows, skid steer, mowers, chainsaws, weedeaters, and welding materials
• Ability to follow directions and instructions with limited supervision
• Work well within a team setting
• Displays exceptional listening and communication skills during interactions with staff and management
• Willingness and ability to log daily/weekly progress using google docs and google sheets
• Other skills that are preferred but not required, heavy equipment experience, mechanical skills, welding, electrical, carpentry, plumbing

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lampasas, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
