Description:

The Real Estate Analyst primary functions entail collecting and analyzing data, maintaining and constantly elevating the quality of the organization’s data, and working with the company research team to present data in an informative way, with the goal of aiding investment decisions.

  • Underwrite/modeling one year and multi-year pro-forma
  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares market data
  • Income statement analysis
  • Rent roll analysis
  • Rent structures
  • Capital improvement plan
  • Create new multifamily asset 12 month detailed operating budgets
  • Review existing asset service contracts
  • Perform due diligence on potential new assets
  • Conducts market research and analyzes market data including market occupancy, rental rates, demographics, competitor positioning and economic information.
  • Create and update proposals and presentations that are presented to prospective clients
  • Support business development with upkeep of CRM data
  • Update (or create new) financial models in excel
  • Join business development on client calls or presentations to discuss potential new assets
  • Interface with multifamily real estate brokers for scheduling property tours with/for clients and requesting updated financial reports during underwriting.
  • Assists in the preparation of annual property budgets of existing assets as needed
  • Assists with ad-hoc/special projects as needed.
  • Recommend processes to improve company efficiency.
  • Responsible for day-to-day communications with Supervisor and ensuring all reporting and tasks are completed on time.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance according to required work schedule decided by the Company.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required - Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills & ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of corporate personnel.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must display intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn.
  • Understanding of financial modeling, cash flow analysis, multifamily underwriting.
