Job description

• Candidate must have practical experience performing inspections on machined parts, assemblies, and or sub-assemblies. Preferrable in the aerospace field. The inspections must be performed to engineering, process sketch, and or purchase order requirements.
• Ensure product and Certification of Conformance to process sketches, blueprint, customer specifications, Manufacturing Order, and Purchase Order requirements
• Inspects purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements.
• Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected components.
• Interface with Buyers, Planners, Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Quality Engineering Departments, & Quality Management for resolution of nonconformances
• Ability to work with ERP system to process parts through the system
• Ensure quality standards and specifications are met on incoming products
• Perform Process and product audits as well as First Piece Inspection
• Use various inspection tools and devices to visually and dimensionally inspect complex mechanical parts
• Counts incoming orders/parts.
• Performs visual inspection of plating process.
• Performs receiving inspection to identify surface defects, such as corrosion, and handling damage.
• Experience performing inspections in aerospace manufacturing.
• Knowledge of inspection equipment i.e. calipers, micrometers, scales, etc..
• Basic GD&T knowledge preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
