    WORK DAY/YEAR: 8 hours per day; Monday - Friday; 260 days/year: 7:45 a.m.- 4:45 p.m. (30 minute non paid lunch)

    CLASSIFICATION: A-1-3

    SALARY: $18.00 per hour, minimum (pending School Board approval)

    LOCATION: This position is to work on site at the Edison Administration Building.

    Position Summary:
    The Receptionist in the Office of the Superintendent serves as the initial point of contact for RPS staff and members of the public for the superintendent’s office and for
    the Edison building.

    Job Summary:
    • Answer primary public telephone number for Rochester Public Schools.
    • Primary contact for the Edison door security system.
    • Primary contact for District reservations of the School Board Room & other Edison
    • conference rooms.
    • Greet staff, parents, and other visitors to the office.

    Qualifications:
    • Computer and word processing experience, secretarial experience, must have the ability
    • to prioritize, organize, work independently, and maintain confidentiality of all information handled in office.
    • Ability to be flexible with changing schedules and work assignments.
    • Must possess strong skills for interacting with the public
    • Strong communication skills on the phone and in person.
