Overview:
In this role, you will report to the Para Transit Coordinator or his/her successor. This position will be primary responsible for the operational oversight of the call center operations. The Receptionist position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the front desk. Job Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
  • Working on location Monday through Friday, 08:00 am – 05:00 pm as Metro’s front desk receptionist/ticket sales clerk.
  • Handle Lobby reception and assigned administrative duties including, but no limited to, greeting and directing visitors to the Metro Facility, fulfillment of ticket orders, preparing client photo ID’s, assisting callers, and maintaining lost and found property.
  • Receive phone and online requests for services, screen each request, and, if approved, assign the trip to the appropriate NET provider
  • Process Metro ticket sales, ensuring a daily reconciliation of all cash and credit matches ticket sales at the end of each day.
  • Follow system and procedures to ensure consistent application of criteria for approval decisions
  • Check Transdev email account for important staff updates
  • Abide by policies and procedures provided in the Training Manual
  • Attempt to resolve client concerns while on the phone, but if they are unable or are asked to escalate a call to a supervisor, manager, etc. they may escalate the call to a Reservation Specialist Team Lead. If no Reservation Specialist Team Lead is available, the receptionist must document this on the client record and then escalate the call to a supervisor

Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
Education: This position requires HS diploma or GED

Experience:
1-3 years reception experience preferred

Skills and Knowledge Required:

Skills and Knowledge Preferred:
Knowledge of programs such as excel, word and power point is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • 100 % of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities
  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge
