Position Details
- Business arithmetic;
- The use of specified computer applications involving the design and management of databases or spreadsheet fi les and the development of special report formats;
- Complex or technical office ce practices and procedures; record keeping practices
- Applicable regulations, policies and statutes;
- Performing technical, specialized, complex, difficult or basic technical office support work;
- Operating standard office equipment; reading and explaining rules, policies and procedures;
- Compiling and summarizing information and preparing periodic or special reports;
- Organizing own work, setting priorities and meeting critical deadlines;
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
- Assesses the processing and uploading student application for Adult Education, maintain student records including updating vital information such as name, social security number, address, telephone or other changes to student records; update student database with changes; verify changes for accuracy. Identify and correct discrepancies and errors in student records.
- Review and report student degree audits for graduation, assist in preparing list of students who are eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony; Correspond graduation information to students as necessary.
- Evaluates transcripts as required according to Admissions, Texas Workforce Commission and other cognizant agencies policies and procedures. Verify and report permanent student transcripts as appropriate
- Performs data entry into the student records databases imputing a variety of information such as attendance, separations, gaps and measurable skills gains.
- Assists in maintaining enrollment plans and TWC TEAMS databases, as well as in the training of staff in the same.
- Assists Director of Adult Education with issues involving state reporting.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
