Summary

Recruiters works closely with the HR team and is an integral partner in managing recruiting activities and building candidate relationships; often providing candidates with their first impression of Columbia. This candidate will work effectively with internal and external candidates and stake holders, possess great communication skills geared toward building a memorable candidate experience and must have an unyielding drive to close openings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide full life-cycle high volume recruiting support for organization
  • Support candidate sourcing efforts for open positions by establishing & executing direct sourcing strategies and tactics including industries and companies to target for assigned requisitions
  • Develop and build strong working relationships with Hiring Managers (conduct discovery intake calls and presentation of candidates and follow-up)
  • Engage in planned initial search activities to drive passive and active candidates and schedule interviews
  • Contacts job seeker leads and applicants
  • Reviews resumes and conducts phone screens working directly with candidates and hiring managers to appraise skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements
  • Provide follow-up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status via phone and email
  • Help identify potential opportunities within recruitment and sourcing processes in efforts for ongoing candidate engagement and maintenance of candidate pools
  • Prepare and coordinate recruitment events including employer presentations, workshops, and onsite or virtual hiring events, as well was participate in corporate and external networking events.
  • Drafts offers and coordinates candidates through preemployment process (background, drug screen and driving documents)
  • Assist in sustaining recruiting metrics and maintaining accurate recruiting database records in applicant tracking system (ADP) and spreadsheets
  • Participate in group HR Projects or other administrative Human Resources activities as needed

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Local travel only however some out of state travel may be required as necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  • 1-year full life cycle recruiting or HR experience in a fast-paced environment or comparable experience
  • 1-year ATS experience, preferably ADP
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook)
  • Must be at least 18 years old
