Northwestern State University's Office of University Recruiting is seeking qualified applicants for the position(s) of Recruiter, with the Office of University Recruiting.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Review of applications will begin immediately. NSU will review applicants until position(s) is (are) filled with qualified applicant(s).

A bachelor’s degree is required, along with experience working in public relations or a related area. Would prefer applicants with experience working in an educational environment that exhibit strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work with high school and college age students.
All recruiters will report directly to the Director of University Recruiting.
The Responsibilities Include:
Student recruitment to include large and small group presentations for college day and night programs, as well as other established high school visits.- Schedule and administer campus tours.
- Schedule and administer campus tours throughout a working week, weekends and holidays to accommodate students and parents.
- Participation at all official NSU Events, especially those executed by the office including Nside View Day, Reception, Counselor Luncheons, Cheer Camps, Auditions, and others deemed by the Director of Recruiting.
- Establish and maintain contact with prospective applicants, parents, high school counselors and administrators.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly reports which evaluate individual accountability in student recruitment.
- Always represent the University in a positive manner. Perform all job functions to an optimal degree to create a caring, student-oriented campus.
- Work-related travel, to include extensive overnight and some out-of-state training and confer
- Visit high school counselors, give Northwestern presentations, and attend career/college night programs at high schools located in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
- Answer phones, fill requests, and assist in any office endeavors that may be required.
- Write, call, visit and follow up on all prospective students.
