Job description
**Work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.**
Pay range is $78,000 to $85,000/year depending on the relevant years of experience.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support manager in oversight of day-to-day operations, productivity and outcomes, and compliance with agency, payor, or regulatory requirements.*
- Assist in developing and implementing methods in which program participants can give feedback in response to program improvements.
- Support implementation of policies and practices to ensure consistent, quality service delivery, and program compliance.
- Collaborate with manager in developing and implementing accountability tools and providing assistance and guidance to ensure that staff are providing quality services that meet the individual need of each program participant, including regular case reviews and chart audits.
- Work with manager to review and analyze computerized performance-tracking spreadsheets and reports provided by Program staff and ensure delivery of completed required documentation, in accordance with agency, payor and regulatory requirements.
- Assist manager to provide supervision of staff providing Department of Rehabilitation, Medi-Cal and IPS contract services.
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring of employees and support provision of initial orientation and ongoing staff development;
- Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions, as required;
- Support manager to coordinate the development of staff consistent with program needs.
- Assist manager in contract management, as it relates to program operations and funding.
- Participate in providing connection between Santa Clara County Contract Monitor, Department of Rehabilitation, IPS and program in order to create a seamless process for program participants.*
- Keep apprised of labor market information and updated on employment opportunities.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct services, as needed, as part of the work team to deliver orientation consultation and/or coordination, including evaluation, crisis intervention, vocational rehabilitation, benefits coordination, closure planning, and communication of significant information.
- Participate in agency, team, and cooperative contract meetings and trainings to represent interests of employment programs in case service contracts; participate in and lead program and agency meetings and trainings, as assigned, requested, or required.
- Provide transportation for clients in personal or agency vehicle on agency business.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: (E = Essential; D = Desired)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus three years’, full time, direct care experience with individuals with mental illness; experience can be substituted for education on a one-to-one basis. (E)
- Additional education and experience
- Business management experience; (D)
- One year working in mental health or vocational rehabilitation services or related employment services; (D)
- One-year supervisory experience. (D)
- Proficiency in typing—minimum 30 net wpm (E); 40 net wpm (D); computer literacy, including Internet search, intermediate level in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows-based databases; (E) familiarity with UNIX-based databases. (D)
- Demonstrated ability to:

- Incorporate vocational services methodology, principles and concepts of normalization, as related to employment practices, and knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act in working collaboratively with individuals identified as those with serious mental illness during their rehabilitation; (E)
- Work from a strengths-based, harm-reduction, social rehabilitation model; (E)
- Work effectively with persons of different value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities and disabilities; (E)
- Exhibit exemplary customer service, compassion, and care in the execution of all duties and interactions. (E)

- Possess a valid California Driver License, with access to a reliable vehicle or for driving an Agency vehicle, current proof of auto liability insurance, and a documented clean DMV record. (E)
