Matheson is looking for a Regional HR Business Partner in Washington, DC.
Position Description: The Regional HR Business Partner for the East Coast locations will be tasked with ensuring alignment between the business operations and the HR practices and objectives by providing consulting and coaching to regional department leaders and managers in order to support the company’s vision, mission, and values.
Primary Skills & Qualifications:
- Consult with business leaders and managers in order to foster and promote the engagement of employees at all levels.
- Assists management and leadership in resolving employee relations issues, conducting effective investigations, and recommending action for sensitive and complex situations. Support the effective roll-out of Human Resource initiatives, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Act as a subject matter expert in company policies, programs, and operational processes and their impact on the business.
- Assist leadership and management with the progressive discipline of employees as well as employment decisions.
- Conduct investigations and provide objective, quality guidance and resolution. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local employment laws.
- Manage and maintain the company’s Leave of Absence processes, including FMLA/PLOA/Military LOA, etc.
- Provide support for field management modified duty needs, including discussions regarding reasonable accommodations. Address and resolve employee issues and/or concerns across all levels in partnership with Field Operations Management Identify opportunities and collaborate with business partners to drive continuous improvement.
- Compile and analyze reports and data to identify trends and make recommendations. Mitigate risk and maximize productivity through collaboration with business partners.
- Support management’s efforts to drive a safety culture through positive communications and training. Provide human resource-related training to management and staff at all levels
Location:
- Travel may be required due to training and operational demand.
- Position may be remote or a hybrid schedule depending on your location and operational demand.

Requirements:
- 6 to 8 years of field HR Generalist/Business Partner support PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field Experience with supporting a remote employee population
