Job Purpose and Impact

The Regional Manufacturing Excellence Technology Leader will develop globally aligned processes, standards and governance as well as develop a strategic path for how the specific manufacturing technology will enable the Cargill Bioindustrial business strategy. Focus for this role is North and South America. In this role, you will provide technical subject matter expertise for manufacturing technology design standards in a complex chemical manufacturing environment, process capabilities, process scale up, hazard analysis, performance monitoring, technical training and incremental and significant improvements as well as technical expertise to support innovation road mapping to enable Cargill Bioindustrial current and future growth. Key Accountabilities

Develop design standards across the engineering disciplines for specialty chemicals (e.g. Oleochemical and hydrogenation, epoxidation, spray cooling, distillation, fractionation, esterification, hydrolysis, sulfurization)
Responsible for specific manufacturing technologies, translating requirements in technology transfer packages and standards within the technology for practical application into the operating facilities while also being responsible for process safety risk management.
Provide leadership to analyze plant performance metrics for a specific manufacturing technology and identify gaps in standards, metrics and measurements and implements improvements into the design standards and develop technology transfer packages for the manufacturing technology.
Develop technical education content and provide leadership in administering training.
Identify opportunities and gaps in required levels of specific manufacturing technology knowledge, expertise and experiences and provides coaching to talent.
Benchmark CBI Technologies with other businesses inside and outside of Cargill.
Support the development of roadmaps for the specific manufacturing technology, understanding industry trends, applying experience and mastery, managing intellectual property and partnering globally and collaboratively with business, commercial and cross-functional teams to understand and represent customer needs.
Assess and develop complex business case scenarios and technology alternatives including technical leadership for new product and process design to meet business strategy and identify improvement opportunities for multiple Bioindustrial segments.
Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering OR related field OR equivalent experience
Minimum of six years of related work experience
Ability to travel 25% - Primarily North America & South America
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in chemical engineering
Specialty Chemicals experience in a high-hazard process environment
High Hazard Process or Process Safety Management experience
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma Green Belt experience
