Position Summary:
The Sales Manager for the West region is responsible for increasing market share and revenues, developing, pursuing, and closing new sales opportunities related to the entire portfolio of products and services of Jet Aviation. As a representative of the global sales function, the job incumbent will be collaborating closely with Regional Operations and other global functions to ensure that the cohesive Jet Aviation growth strategy is being executed. Extensive Aircraft Management sales experience is highly preferred for this role. This is a role with a flexible location and a demanding schedule.
Main Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of ten or more customer accounts, but not major or strategic accounts
- Identifies, develops and typically closes new sales opportunities
- Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers
- Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account
- May conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of current and emerging customer related digital technology
- Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University. Master’s degree a plus.
- 5-7 years’ relevant work experience (please see main responsibilities)
- The candidate must have basic knowledge of aviation technologies such as aircraft range, speed, capacity, landing requirements, etc., and how these might affect the customer’s selection of an aircraft for a particular mission.
- Must be available to work non-standard hours/flexible days
- Extensive travel is expected in this position
- Strong internal/external commercial awareness
- Strong communication skills and experience communicating to diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Solid influencing skills

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
