Job description
Townsen Memorial is looking for a full-time RN to work in Pre-Op/PACU at our facility in Kingwood,TX! The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, ambitious, and a team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures the pre-operative area has a clean and therapeutic environment for all patients at all times
- Ensures supplies and equipment needed are available and in good working order
- Admits the patient to the unit and prepares him/her for the scheduled procedure
- Makes initial assessment and determines the nursing needs of the patient, communicates additional discharge needs when applicable (transportation, durable medical equipment)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or vocational school
- Registered Nurse (active and unencumbered license) in the State of Texas
- BLS, PALS and ACLS (required)
- Previous pre-operative care experience (preferred)
