The Southwest Idaho Treatment Center (SWITC) is hiring RNs that want to make a difference, share in growth and development, and know at the end of the day they have made a positive impact on the lives of others. We currently have one opening with a choice of either a 4 day work week - 10 hours a day (Sun-Wed, 6AM-4PM) OR a 5 day work week - 8 hours a day (Sun-Thurs, 6AM-2PM).

Our generous benefits package increases the total compensation of a full-time (benefits eligible) Registered Nurse making $35.31/hour to an estimated $48.92/hour.

This announcement will be used to fill permanent vacancies for the Medical Clinic RN Day Shift. Nurses provide psychiatric inpatient treatment and skilled nursing care for Idaho's adult citizens with the most serious and persistent mental illnesses. If you have previously applied for Registered Nurse and wish to be considered for the current vacancy, you must reapply under this announcement. Previous scores will not be used.

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Any applicant offered employment at Southwest Idaho Treatment Center will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test. Applicants will be required to pass a background investigation after a conditional offer of employment.

Example of Duties

Performs professional nursing that may include:

  • Patient assessment
  • Scheduling medical clinic appointments
  • Care plan development
  • Health education (including employee health and infection control)
  • Clinical activities
  • Case management
  • Direct nursing services (including treatments)
  • Medical equipment monitoring

  • Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin or Wyoming.
