The Purpose
Position will oversee clinical services for Respiratory Services and follow best practices for care delivery for Pulmonary Programs. The respiratory therapist is responsible for delivery of respiratory care services to patients, residents, and Veterans of the community assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate delivery of clinical services to residents, including RT equipment delivery, set up and picking up
- Ensure accuracy of resident documentation and compliance with regulatory services
- Respond to RT inquiries as needed, resolve grievances, in a timely manner
- Assess, treat, and care for residents with breathing/pulmonary disorders. responsible for all respiratory care modalities. Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; maintain documentation
- Other duties as listed in the position agreement
Qualifications:
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care; and licensed by the state
- Graduate of an accredit Respiratory Care Program
- Two years of respiratory experience
