Claims Bureau USA, Inc. is a nationally licensed private detective agency providing field and in-house investigation services to our clients in the insurance industry. We are seeking an entry-level Report Editor to join our editing team.
Editors work in collaboration with investigative staff and management to produce and submit reports that provide cohesive, well-written and informative accounts of our investigation, targeted to meet our high standards and to satisfy each client’s requirements.
Qualified applicants should be friendly, professional and well-spoken, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to plan and work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment. Candidates should be proficient in working with Microsoft Office programs and a variety of document formats, including Word, PDF and Excel. Experience with Internet-based research, including navigation of social media platforms and public data sources, is also a must. Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively ask and answer questions are crucial to succeeding in this position.
No prior experience or knowledge of the insurance industry or investigative work is required, and all new staff are provided with a comprehensive training program and access to instructional materials to ensure success in an independent and remote capacity. Ongoing feedback and guidance from management and senior staff are also provided to promote skill development and career advancement.
Qualifications and Education/Experience Requirements:
- Four-year college degree required; relevant majors include journalism, English, pre-law, and other writing and research-based subjects
- Professional and/or academic experience with writing, editing and/or information verification
- Reliable computing equipment and consistent Internet access
