Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
Under limited supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), this individual will conduct research on nuclear materials with an emphasis on determining thermochemical properties for projects funded by the U. S. Department of Energy, the U. S. Department of Defense, the National Science Foundation, the National Air and Space Administration, and private industry.
Required Education and Experience
PhD in materials science/engineering or a closely related discipline with a minimum of 2 years postdoctoral research experience in thermochemical measurements and modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Expertise in performing thermochemical/thermophysical measurements, data reduction and analysis, and CALPHAD modeling of thermochemical properties.
