Job description

The Residence Manager provides supervision and support to all direct care staff members. He/she ensures that the residents are cared for in a safe and therapeutic environment, are adequately supervised and have therapeutic recreational programing. The Residence Manager participates in hiring the direct care staff members and supervises, trains, and evaluates the performance of direct care staff members. The Residence Manager ensures that all required documentation is completed in a timely manner. He/She reviews and implements policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and clients in the program.

There are locations in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island we are interested in filling.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must have a valid NYS driver’s license.
  • Must have at least 4 years professional child care experience.
  • Must obtain S95 Certification within 6 months of start date.
  • Must obtain First Aide Certification within 6 months of start date.
  • Must have program management experience.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours.
  • Experience as a housing provider for clients with highly specialized needs and multiple psychosocial risk factors preferred.
  • Must have the ability to support, nurture and counsel residents in a structured environment.
  • Must have leadership abilities to supervise activities of staff, 12 residents in the home and provide corrective counseling when necessary.
  • Must have written and verbal communication skills sufficient to complete required documents and reports, and to participate and facilitate scheduled meetings.
  • Must have emotional stability and social experience which permits formation of a quasi-parental relationship with residents.
  • Must comply with all agency policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Education:

  • Master's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • OPWDD: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Supervisory: 2 years (Preferred)
