OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the Residence Operations Manager, the Residence Supervisor is responsible for the administrative, operations, safety, and security of the Harbor Light Program. The Residence Supervisor assists in providing our Participants with a structured, organized, and peaceful environment.
DUTIES:
- SUPERVISORY:
- Act as the on-duty supervisor for people and processes during assigned shift.
- Act as the backup to the Residence Manager, as needed, in clinical case conference when the Residence Manager is away on leave or vacation.
- Assist the Residence Manager in scheduling Monitors and on-call employees to support shifts as necessary.
- Assist the Residence Manager and Program Director with training opportunities, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
- Understand when concerns require immediate attention from Program Director and/or Executive Directors.
- Help to establish and maintain effective and efficient administrative records including procedures to maintain client privacy rights and releases of information.
- Perform searches in the residence for contraband including alcohol, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and various other non-permitted items.
- Ensure clients are dressed appropriately while moving through the facility, are not in restricted areas, and are wearing their identification badge and colored lanyard.
- Implement rules, procedures, and protocol for clients.
- Assign and oversee house duties and client chores/responsibilities.
- Lead group meetings on occasion.
- ADMINISTRATIVE:
- Serve as a backup in answering the main facility telephone, take messages, and/or direct callers as appropriate.
- Distribute sorted client mail as outlined in procedure.
- Document, inform, and report all incidents and daily activities that occur during shift. Escalate urgent concerns to the Program Director / Executive Director by phone.
- Coordinate facility repairs and requests for maintenance through the Work Ticket system.
- Coordinate requests for purchasing supplies and necessary items through the Business Department.
- Support in Medication Observation to include updating medication logs, observing clients take their medication, completing medication error forms, and assisting Residence Manager with routine medication audits.
- Collect and review all daily group sign in sheets, ensuring they are complete and accurate.
- Run advanced administrative reports to meet program and contracting requirements.
- SAFETY AND SECURITY:
- Stay awake and alert to maintain a safe, secure, responsive, inclusive, and non-discriminatory environment for clients.
- Maintain appropriate, professional, and ethical boundaries always with clients.
- Perform regular and irregular security and wellness checks throughout the facility throughout the shift.
- Assist the clinical team in administering urine analysis testing and breath alcohol testing for clients while adhering to privacy and integrity protocols of clients and their sample(s).
- Assist in emergency disaster responses, emergency drills, and actual emergencies at Harbor Light Center.
- Responsible for scheduling fire and life safety evacuation drills.
- Respond to all critical incidents with notification to all stakeholders such as other departments of the Center, external Emergency Services, Maintenance Department, Program Director, and Executive Directors.
- Respond to calls for assistance from other departments of the Center to prevent interference or disruption to operations.
- Assist in the offboarding and onboarding of clients as directed by the Program Director.
Infrequent driving assignments as needed or required.
- Other reasonably related duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or Executive Directors.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and various other office process applications desired.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed or requested.
- Culturally competent and able to work with a highly diverse population.
- Experience working successfully within a trauma-informed treatment environment
- Tuberculosis clearance (within first seven days of employment).
Experience
Required- 1 year(s): Experience as a supervisor or experience in a related environment.
Licenses & Certifications
Required- Driver's License
- Substance Abuse Counselor
