Job Description:
Girl Scouts San Diego is seeking a Part-Time Retail Site Lead for our Escondido location. In this role the selected candidate will assist retail management with achieving store sales and operational goals and customer service standards. The Retail Site Lead will provide support by focusing on day-to-day store, e-Commerce and mobile site sales, administrative and daily operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the retail management team, takes lead responsibilities in the operation of assigned store location; may provide direction and guidance to retail sales staff on assigned shifts.
• Perform weekly shop audits and initiate follow-up to address identified issues.
• Monitor daily store recovery records to identify issues; initiate follow-up to address identified issues.
• Assist with the training process for Retail Associates as required.
• Open/close registers, prepare deposits and complete daily recap paperwork.
• Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive and priced correctly.
• Ensure new product is checked-in promptly and accurately.
• Ensure purchase orders and transfers between shops are processed accurately and timely.
• Ensure items in stock room and storage areas are inventoried according to council standards.
• Promptly implement monthly promotions in a manner consistent with management specifications.
• Ensure all advertising/signage meets council guidelines and is posted only during specified times.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Minimum 2 years’ retail experience, preferably with experience as a shift/store lead.
• Proficiency of MS Office programs, and ten key by touch.
• Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Must have a high attention to and focus on providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to professionally interact with all levels of our diverse organization, external customers, and vendors.
• Able to work effectively with others to accomplish tasks
• Working knowledge of POS systems (familiarity with Retail Management System and OpSuite desired).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Girl Scout merchandise, structure, and program to assist customers preferred.
• Available and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Valid drivers’ license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation. Daily or occasional travel may be required.
• Must have belief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting; be willing to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Promise and Law, and aware of the needs of girls in our pluralistic society.
