Job Summary and Objectives

Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager of Revenue Cycle
Operations manages all employees in the Revenue Cycle Department and is responsible for setting the policies, objectives, and initiatives of Physician Group Practice revenue cycle activities.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Coordinate in the Implementation of Processes throughout organizations Revenue Cycle

Process to ensure effective billing and collections.

  • Manage and Maintain relationships with third party payors
  • Review, Analyze, and Negotiate Third Party Payor Contracts to maximize revenue
  • Establish, Compile, and Report on, Key Performance Metrics of Revenue Cycle Operations
  • Develop Monthly Reporting to Executives in a manner that is relevant, timely, and free from material error.
  • Participate and Engage in an Interactive Process with other Departmental Managers to maximize revenue and reduce denial rates
  • Train and manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their job responsibilities
  • Develop Action Plans for Achieving Targets and Milestones
  • Prepare Ad-Hoc Reports Related to Revenue Cycle
  • Participate In Employee Performance Review Process
  • Attend all required team and organizational meetings
  • Clearly Articulate Operation Problems and positively contribute to solution development process in coordination other Department Managers and Executive Leadership
  • Establish Departmental Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure Subordinate Staff is operating under Department and Organization Policies and

Procedures

  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned by Immediate Supervisor and Executive Leadership
  • Participate in required Cross-Training and/or company required training (HIPAA, Harassment,

Etc.)

  • Respond to Management inquiries timely.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Strong Office Skills such as Typing and Filing
  • Advanced Understanding of frequently used Microsoft Office software such as Word,

NextTech, Practice+, IntelleChart Pro experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of Healthcare Terminology
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Frequently adjusts or moves items weighing up to 50lbs across office for various needs.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer, phone.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly remaining in a stationary position. Standing or Sitting for Prolonged Periods
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, such as KN95 masks most of the day
  • Works Overtime and on Weekends as needed
  • Must have Sufficient Ambulatory ability to move to various locations.

Education and or Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Undergraduate Degree in Relevant Field (Preferred)
  • 3 Years or More of Demonstrated Skill in Similar Position (Preferred)
  • 3 Years of More Experience in Revenue Cycle Department (Required)
  • 3 Years or More Supervisory Experience (Required)
  • CPC Certification (Required)
  • Internal candidate: No disciplinary documentation in the last 6 months, satisfactory attendance, satisfactory team attendance/proper progressive discipline on file.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
