Job description
Our organization is currently in need of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse to provide a wide spectrum of basic healthcare and personal care services. LPN/RN responsibilities include overseeing personal hygiene and performing routine tests on patients. You will be responsible for providing health instruction and administering medications. You should have excellent communication skills, as you will be assisting with the patient care plan, communicating with the doctor and communicating with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage acute and chronic care for patients under the direction of a Physician or Registered Nurse, like administering medications and injections, cleaning wounds and changing dressings, checking vital signs and measuring intake and output.
- Monitor health conditions to detect and prevent complications, as well as to guard against adverse reactions to medications., including administering enough oxygen therapy.
- Coordinate with other healthcare team members like doctors, administrators, laboratory workers etc. to communicate on patient’s health status.
- Identify at-risk patients using prescribed protocols that assess health problems related to their condition(s) or need(s) (e.g. infection risk or ventilator dependency).
- Follow up with physicians and family members to ensure all information is accurate and accessible to others in the medical team.
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy of patient’s medical records.
- Monitor elements such as quality of care and make any necessary changes to improve the performance of the unit.
- Understand risks involved with procedures and practices like central line insertion.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $39.89 per hour
