POSITION SUMMARY
Provide automotive purchasing services to customers of the dealership in such a way the transaction results in dealership gross profit and customer satisfaction standards while achieving acceptable volume objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Understand and follow the Campus Layout/Flow/Interaction
- Understand and be able to explain the Inventory Process
- Accurate, and complete Data Entry for prospects and customers in the CRM
- Complete product line product knowledge, including ability to access manufacture tools to obtain obscure less known information
- Complete comprehension of deal paperwork and ability to prepare and provide such documentation correctly, accurately, and timely per dealership guidelines
- Obtain maximum manufacturer certifications in a timely manner or as directed by management
- Actively Market yourself to prior customers and prospects through the CRM and social media
- Complete all off-site training provided and offered, and be able to apply this new knowledge to your work
- Ability to overcome customer objections
- Able to assist clients with all 4 main phases of the business-New Vehicles, Pre-Owned Vehicles, Service, and Parts
- Use industry and personal trends and averages to calculate and forecast your own productivity monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Able to verbalize client facing processes for the campus
- Ability to demonstrate an “Elevator pitch” of company information as needed
- Ability to delivering not less than 12 vehicles per full time month
- Maintain an above regional average customer service satisfaction score, from factory
- Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction
- Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner
- Complete comprehension and implementation of the “Road to a Sale” Sales Steps including such items as:
- Approaches, greets, and aids or provides direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot
- Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
- Fully explains product performance, application, and benefits to prospects
- Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase
- Offers test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive
- Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction
- Continuously refine the skills of negotiation and overcoming customer objections
- Effectively TO (turn over) all customer to the Accessory Department for vehicle customization, to Allstate for insurance verification and quotation, and to the Finance Department for financial and protection consultation
- Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail auto sales
- Proficiency in taxation and title work in all four surrounding states (DE,MD,PA and NJ)
- Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals
- Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers
- Knows and understands equity and values, and is able to explain depreciation to the customer
- Ensures that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer
- Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.)
- Prepares and inspects sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival
- Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that each customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork
- Being able to assist customers during the delivery process customize vehicle settings
- Introduces customers to service department personnel or plays “Intro to Service Video” during delivery process to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department
- Schedules first service appointment
- Follows up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, “we-owes”, and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met
- Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively
