We are looking for a high-performing Sales Director to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to company leadership. You will be responsible for establishing annual plans for sales and expenses while monitoring and controlling resources and sales activities effectively to achieve the plan. Developing and monitoring the implementation of plans with the aim of achieving the pre-set targets as well as promoting Grow Sciences products’ sales by developing and maintaining long term relationships with key dispensary decision makers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to company leadership
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • High competence with Excel, Google Apps, and SaaS tools used (ex: CRM, email, PPT, etc).

KEY FUNCTIONS

Strategic:

  • Supervising the implementation of the Sales function plans, as well as ensuring their compliance with rules and policies
  • Develop the Sales function’s work plan; assigning work activities, projects and programs, monitoring workflow, reviewing and evaluating work methods and procedures, and directing such activities to serve the Sales Department's goals and plans
  • Propose plans and programs that boost the effectiveness of the Sales function
  • Ensure that work activities are carried out achieving the pre-set performance goals, and suggesting any necessary actions to company CEO

Technical & Executive:

  • Develop annual plan for sales, resources, expenses and department to meet company growth and competitive objectives
  • Oversee sales activities, provide support to sales teams, as well as directing the teams efforts to be in line with company strategic goals and set targets
  • Track and monitor sales and expenses while recommending sales-specific measures and techniques that minimize expenses
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of sales work plans with the aim of achieving the pre-set sales targets while coaching and managing sales team
  • Promote cannabis products’ sales by developing and maintaining long term relationships at all levels with dispensary owners, dispensary managers, and key decision makers
  • Participate in organizing the launch of new products and their promotions
  • Provide support in deals preparation as well as negotiating prices with customers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/ETC.

  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills

Specific state regulatory requirements also include verification, confirmation or completion of the following:

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age; pursuant to A.R.S. §36-2801.10
  • Must consent to a criminal background check performed by the Company and/or the Arizona Department of Health Services, pursuant to A.R.S. § 36-2804.01
  • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of the criminal background check conducted by the Arizona Department of Health Services, pursuant to A.R.S. §36-2804.01 and A.R.S. §36-2801.10
  • Valid Arizona State Issued ID
