Sales Leader

  • The annual salary range is $35,000 to $45,000, depending on experience and knowledge.
  • Beginning the first day of employment, the Sales Leader is eligible to earn a generous sales incentive – the Regency Hotel Management Sales Incentive Program.

  • The Sales Leader will participate in initial onboarding sales and leadership training, and ongoing training.
  • Participate in establishing the hotel’s revenue strategy.
  • Prospect and qualify new business programs as well as maintain existing accounts.
  • Generate revenues and positively impact the hotels’ gross operating profit and customer satisfaction/service standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Regency Hotel Management's Sales*Rev Pure-Selling Prospecting Program.
  • Develop an aggressive and market-appropriate ongoing sales-building plan for booking the hotel and conference center, utilizing the hotel's revenue plan by working directly with the General Manager (GM).
  • Design, complete, and prepare follow-up action steps for sales calls in designated targeted market segments.
  • Generate revenues and positively impact the hotels' gross operating profit and customer satisfaction/service standards.
  • Participate and assist with contracts and booking details for business conferences, association groups, and events needing function space and guest rooms.
  • Refer food and beverage arrangements to Catering Department.
  • All accountant management is entered into iVvy.
  • Actively participate in greeting and other guest relations work, in a hands-on manner, for the property's business conference or association clients when they are in the hotel for their function or event.
  • Monthly or bi-monthly travel to solicit new business and conference programs and maintain a solid relationship with current customers.
  • Participate in an ongoing property sales meeting process with:
  • General Manager
  • Sales Staff
  • Catering Director
  • Department staff management meetings
  • Pre- and post-conference client meetings
  • Get to know and form a professional and friendly relationship with the Visit Casper staff

Leadership Functions:

  • Create and maintain a positive work environment through team building and serve as a role model for staff in terms of professionalism, attitude, respect, communication, appearance, conduct, cooperation, and trust.
  • Maintain a positive approach to working with associates.
  • Offer praise for when someone is doing the right thing and immediately correct when improvement is necessary.
  • As a leader of the Sales Department, your support and direction to the sales team are essential for overall success.
  • In many instances, you are one of the primary community ambassadors for the hotel.
  • You are one of the top liaisons for the conference and association guests and their events.
  • Participate in top VIP conferences and association events to make initial contact with the guest representative(s).
  • Participate in the aggressive and targeted solicitation of business focusing on selling rooms, food, and beverage through outside, personal, telephone, and correspondence calls.
  • Assist and support floor operations, or kitchen food plating, for top VIP conference and association events, as requested by the General Manager.
  • Support with a ‘Hands-On’ approach and lead by example.


Utilize the Selling Basics:


  • Know the hotel’s key sales features, benefits, and amenities.
  • Be proficient in the hotel’s S.W.O.T.
  • Know the hotel’s competition.
  • Retain a loyal client base.
  • People buy from people they ‘like’ and ‘trust.’
  • Each action step should have an objective.
  • Learn each hotel’s prospect’s wants and needs.
  • Closing - always ask for the business!

Qualification Standards:


  • The individual must possess the job knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the job's essential functions and responsibilities using a combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.


Education:


  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A College degree in hospitality management is preferred.


Experience:


  • Hotel sales experience is preferred but not required
  • Sales experience preferred but not required


Physical Demands:


  • Well-paced ability to maneuver between functions coinciding.
  • Well-paced ability to reach other hotel departments on a timely basis.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasionally be able to walk and stand for long periods.
  • Climb steps in hotels that do not provide elevators.
  • The ability to travel for a time length of four to six hours depending on destination.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.


Appearance Guidelines:


  • Business casual attire is required or professional attire as appropriate.
  • One must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
