Maintain integrity of Armada Nutrition product quality, and safety by ensuring that all manufacturing equipment, structural areas, warehouse areas and transportation equipment are following Good Manufacturing processes.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain the facilities cleanliness and have it audit ready at all times, including pest control and sanitation records for audit purposes;
• Oversee cGMP compliance of gowning procedures, facilities, and supplies including internal audits;
• Monitor the CMMS system thru work orders, inventory, and reporting to reduce spend while identifying cost saving opportunities;
• Broad understanding and experience with HACCP, BRC, NSF, FDA, SDS, GMP, SOP’s and the ability to interact with regulatory compliance agencies;
• Demonstrated ability to interview, hire, direct, coach, and train employees;
• Technical ability to show and explain production equipment breakdowns for cleaning and sanitation processes;
• Able to function in a fast-paced, agile food manufacturing environment;
• Maintain the plants Master Sanitation Schedule for the facility and external grounds;
• Provide leadership, coaching, accountability, and training to employees on all shifts in sanitation;
• Operating knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures;
• Work cross functionally with operations, QA, safety, and maintenance to minimize quality issues, and proactively address food safety requirements in order to maintain the highest standard;
• Work with vendors to ensure our sanitation program, chemical usage, and pest control are best practices staying in line with industry standard;
• Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), SOP’s, equipment, and safety practices;
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
• Minimum of 3 years of cleaning and sanitation experience, sanitation supervisor, or sanitation manager in a large food manufacturing facility;
• Continuous Education/Certification credentials in sanitation are a plus;
• Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills;
• Highly organized and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
• General MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word), CMMS, and payroll processing web apps;
• General knowledge of sanitation equipment used in manufacturing areas;
• Promotes safety through work procedures, 5S work environments, and employee safety programs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.;
• Ability to stand for an extended periods of time;
• Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask;
• Ability to work in a blending/packaging area with a moderate powder substance in the air with or without a respirator;
• Ability to work above shoulders;
• Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral wrist movement;
• Ability to work around a variety of different smells, aromas and different temperatures;
• Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours;
• Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse/production environment;
• Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
