Responsible for the advancement of SBA 7a loans generated by the company’s top performing Business Development Officers through our production pipeline.

Specific Job Functions:
Determine and communicate to prospective borrowers and referral sources via phone and email the required documentation needed for a complete loan package submission to UnderwritingWork with BDOs to prepare a customized needs checklist per loan; then work with borrowers to fulfill the checklists
Responsible for submission of loan application documents with regards to compliance guidelines (ensure current versions of SBA Forms have been used, confirm all docs are signed, confirm docs are for the requested time periods, ensure scans are legible, etc.)
Receive, review, accept, and organize appropriate loan documentation (document scanning, labeling, saving electronic copies in appropriate locations)
Lead other client follow-ups, where needed and as directed by the BDOs
Authorized to obtain and review the following reports for each loan file: Credit, LexisNexis, SAM.gov, OFAC, CAIVRS, and any others the BDOs’ designate
Estimates good faith deposits at Proposal stage and communicates to borrower; authorizes a GL to be opened in the appropriate name; obtain signed commitment letters and second deposit following loan approvals
Point of contact for the deal team (the BDO, Underwriter, Closer/CLA, and Closing Attorney) as deals progress into Underwriting and Closing, with document collection and reports (e.g., appraisals, environmental reports and business valuations), as requested
Responsible for the collection and submission of complete Referral Source Approval Request packages
Carry out such other duties as may be assigned or requested.
Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to job function.

Requirements

2+ years of professional experience and knowledge in SBA lending preferred
Ability to exercise judgment, initiative and tact in dealing with customers and BDO officers
Strong attention to detail with an affinity for organization, data and file management
Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills; Comfortable speaking with senior-level parties both internally and externally to share updates, proactively raise concerns if and when deadlines are being missed, etc.
Exceptional time management skills
An ability to problem solve and think proactively
Excellent technical and computing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and database experience/proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) is preferred.
