Description:St. Agnes Catholic School is looking to hire a kind, compassionate and professional school nurse for the 2022 academic year. If you are excited to be part of a winning team, here is a great place to grow your career. We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable School Nurse to join our staff. In this role, you provide direct care to students and staff on campus. You assess the illness or injury, treat the students when possible, and determine if it is necessary to call the students parent to take them home or to see a doctor. Outside of providing treatments and medical support, you are also responsible for monitoring health risks at the school and promoting healthy habits. A School Nurse does more than oversee the physical health of students; you also help identify emotional and social problems and make recommendations on how to manage them.
Requirements:
Primary responsibilities will include point of contact for daily health concerns of students, documentation and communication with parents, school leaders and staffing manager. General health and wellness evaluation services and support such as hearing testing, weight and vitals. Monitoring and record keeping of students with documented health concerns. Health resource to teachers and other faculty as it relates to specific student health needs. Participation in the school community representing health/wellness.
RN, a graduate of accredited school of nursing
Current Arizona Nursing license
Pediatrics experience preferred
Current CPR certifications/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Contract Active: 1/4/2022 - 6/10/2022
40 hours per week
