Position: School Outpatient Therapist

Clinical Licensure from the State of Maine Required (Conditional OK).

Salary: Up to $56K Plus Excellent Benefits

210 Day School Year!!!

49 PAID Vacation Days (7 Weeks Off!!!)

Maine School Solutions runs approved day treatment programs licensed by the Maine Department of Education as special purpose private schools. Maine School Solutions (MSS) believes that all students can learn, achieve at high standards, and have abilities and talents that are worthy of being identified and supported. At Maine School Solutions, we provide individualized therapeutic support and educational services to those students identified as special education in grades K – 12. All students have an assigned school social worker and are supported by Behavioral Health Professionals (BHP). MSS is a members of the Becket Family of Services which has 40+ locations and over 50 years of serving New England youth and families.

While working for MSS as a School Outpatient Therapist you will have the opportunity to:

• Provide individual and group therapy to students based upon their identified treatment needs.
• Complete Comprehensive Assessments and Individualized Treatment Plans to help students meet their academic and social/emotional goals
• Collaborate daily with BHP’s and teachers to help children and young adults improve their day-to-day functioning within a classroom setting
• Provide clinical supervision to BHP's to help inform treatment needs.
• Complete Functional Behavioral Analysis for assigned students in accordance with IEP standards.
• Attend all IEP meetings and other meetings as required
• Document all services and complete all required documents by their established deadlines
• Maintain client files and complete progress notes and billing summary sheets accurately.
• Have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and young adults who have previously been unsuccessful in a public school setting.

Job Requirements:

• Master's Degree & Maine Clinical Licensure Required (Conditional OK)
• Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate good judgement, and the willingness to help creatively and collaboratively problem-solve required.
• Must have the ability to develop rapport and work with a diverse population of students and families with a wide range of cultural and economical backgrounds.
• Must have the ability to be flexible at times to meet the changing demands of the students, greater school population and culture, and help manage potential crisis situations as the arise.
