Position Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, charismatic, and collaborative Scrum Master with 2 to 4 years’ experience working in JIRA with software engineering & development teams.
In this position, you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the software and web development team’s workload from requirements to delivery. You will report to the Director of Project Management and will help drive forward the completion of SaaS product feature builds, web development and Salesforce integration projects. You will be closely collaborating with the development team and other key stakeholders involved in the project and development lifecycle process to successfully deliver work.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage all software development projects and SaaS product feature builds from requirements stage through testing and release using JIRA
- Setup, define and manage EPICs, user stories and tasks in JIRA
- Work with the software engineering team to support the continued build out and grooming of user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria for EPICs
- Manage and maintain the JIRA system – improving processes, updating workflows, setting up automations, managing the roadmap and more
- Lead all scrum ceremonies – including demos, backlog grooming, sprint planning and retros
- Break down scope of projects and initiatives into manageable user stories and tasks in JIRA
- Manage and maintain the overall sprint cycles, sprint commitments and goals with the development team
- Manage the overall development team timelines, proactively managing and mitigating risks while managing up any foreseen issues or problems
- Proactively remove impediments and work to eliminate interruptions in the process to ensure a smooth flow of delivery
- Triage new engineering requests, help establish priority and map into sprint plans
- Conduct quality assurance reviews on features and deliverables to ensure specifications are met
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
- Track, manage and follow-up on any ceremony action items to ensure progress is made
- Manage scope to ensure work is of business value, commitments are delivered upon each sprint
- Support and manage prioritization shifts effectively and ensure clear communications in changes
- Work with Director to identify the breakdown of CapEx and OpEx from each sprint
- Create documentation to support the SaaS product and the business
- Drive team alignment, collaboration, self-organization, and continuous improvement using agile practices
- Guide, coach and motivate the team with the goal of increasing project productivity, efficiency, and success

Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Scrum Master with software engineering teams on SaaS product builds and web deliverables using JIRA to manage the work (Ideal candidate: 3-4 years’ experience)
- Software engineering project management experience required
- Must have experience using and maintaining JIRA as a project management system for a team of developers or engineers
- Must be knowledgeable in agile practices and values, scrum methodologies and SDLC processes
- Must have experience setting up EPICs, gathering requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and working on release plans
- Must have experience on software development and web or microsite development projects
- Experience with Salesforce integration projects highly desirable
- Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical and team building skills
