Seasonal Part/Full-Time Picker/Packer

About the position: As a Seasonal member of our Warehouse Team, you will be the last person to see a customer’s shipped product before they do. Our commitment to a great customer experience extends beyond our physical location all the way to our customers’ homes. To make sure that the customer feels that level of care, the Picker/Packer will carefully pick items from the Direct Sales Inventory with sensitivity to the customer’s order. They will then prepare the item for shipment with safety in mind so that when the customer ultimately opens their package, they will find the exact item they wanted in perfect condition. Speed and cost should also be in the back of their minds as we work to get the products to our customers as quickly as possible while minimizing the price they’ll pay for shipping.

Essential Qualities:

Warehouse experience and/or training helpful

• Attention to detail
• Caring spirit
• Strong work ethic

Essential Qualifications:

• Position will involve lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Picker:

• Using a Pick List, pick merchandise from inventory shelves
• Compare selected merchandise with the Pick List to verify product match and quantity
• Visually inspect merchandise for defects
• Maintain speed and accuracy to meet minimum productivity requirements

Packer:

• Print order Packing Slips and Pick Lists and place on a Picking Cart
• Visually inspect merchandise for defects and product accuracy and quantity, according to Packing Slips
• Prepare appropriately sized box(es) to best suit the ordered items
• Pack merchandise with sufficient paper packing materials and wrap fragile items with paper and/or bubble wrap to ensure safety during shipment
• Use computer software system to record shipment data (shipping address, weight, shipping charges, etc.)
• End of line duties which can include but are not limited to packaging
• Maintain speed and accuracy to meet minimum productivity requirements

Additional:

• Keep printer station and packing station neat and stocked with necessary supplies
• Facilities maintenance duties as needed, such as sweeping and dusting
• Organizing work area for orderliness to comply with safety guidelines
• Other duties as assigned
