This is a high level administrative position responsible for assisting the Vice President of Venue Security and the Director of Venue Security with investigative, special project and budgetary support. Performs a variety of confidential security functions including intelligence analysis, researching and analyzing event and budget related data, assisting with interviewing and onboarding of part time colleagues and ensuring that security related investigations are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner. This position handles highly sensitive and confidential information. This position provides support for a variety of security related projects and requires superior organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
Reviews Investigations to ensure that incidents are documented in a thorough and timely manner. Prepares the investigation summary, investigative file and provides same to the Vice President of Corporate Security and/or Vice President of Venue Security . Ensures all reports and updates are submitted to Business Unit Executives and Risk Management.
Maintains accurate and complete investigative file until investigation is completed and incident is closed.
Conducts database checks, physical records checks, court searches and financial records searches in support of investigations
Creates an investigative manual to guide security colleagues in conducting investigations.
Works closely with Human Resources to document and investigate employee conduct complaints or violations.
Assist the Vice President of Venue Security in managing the department budget by assisting with tracking and monitoring expenses and conducting analysis on variances to expense projections.
Conducts research, assembles and analyzes intelligence for dissemination to LCA and District Detroit entities.
Handles special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Venue Security or the Director of Venue Security. These projects will typically involve research, coordination of efforts between various departments, assimilation of data, and preparing written or oral reports.
Creates and maintains databases, spreadsheets or project plans.
Conducts screening interviews/hiring for part time event-based colleague positions. Trains and develops these security
colleagues.
Establish and maintain effective, cooperative and professional business relationships with all levels of management, and colleagues. Interacts with customers, makes periodic follow-up telephone calls and maintains databases on all open investigative cases.
Communicates with other departments and outside contacts in a professional and courteous manner on project-based assignments.
Arranges and coordinates meetings and security-based events for the Venue Security Department and all District Detroit entities.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of related experience and/or training.
Experience in conducting investigations, to include background investigations or security related investigations.
Strong knowledge of investigative databases and searches of public records, financial institutions and educational institutions.
Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio and ability to navigate windows-based security software for CCTV and access control.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Experience and/or training in the field of interviewing and interrogation.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to conduct group training.

Working Conditions
Works in a normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust and the like.
