TITLE OF JOB: District Attendance / Truant Liaison

OBJECTIVE OF JOB: Track attendance at Truth or Consequences Middle School to assist with parental and JPPO notifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. View list of each school’s daily absentees and make parental contacts.

2. Keep a daily log of absentees and contacts recording how contact was made and what was said. Every Friday submits a report to building principal in charge of attendance to apprise of absences.

3. Responsible for initiating 3-, 5-, and 8-day letters immediately (either through access to school computer or written list to building secretary and/or principal).

4. Assist in delivering above letters and making home visits as necessary.

5. Monitor campus as directed by administration, conducting a moving patrol in all areas of campus, including hallways, restrooms, parking lots, playgrounds, and dining areas.

6. Responsible for monitoring students in ISS.

7. When time permits, monitor public areas in the community for truant students.

8. Assist in the transportation of students or documents when requested by an administrator.

9. Intercept, identify, and direct visitors or strangers on campus.

10. Notify the building administrator or their designee at all times when leaving or returning to campus.

11. Other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $21,528.00 - $38,947.00 per year

• Social work: 1 year (Preferred)
