In this role you will:

Seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant who will serve as a resource for any productivity related questions/issues. Assists with monthly financial preparations, perform journal entries, cash flow, physician dashboards and various year-end tasks. Participate in the annual budgeting process for the healthcare divisions. Analyze financial statement trends, month-end close issues and report findings to the Regional Controller. Perform variance analysis of varying types including those that analyze revenue, statistics and expenses.

Day-to-day responsibilities require timely and appropriate communication with the physicians, management and outside vendors. Recognizes the need for teamwork and functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Our ideal candidate should have a minimum of four years of professional healthcare accounting experience with track record for providing accurate and efficient work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Standardize accounting functions and programs.
• Prepare financial statements and regulatory reporting documents.
• Preparing revenue projections.
• Preparing financial analyses and reports.
• Frequent contact with shareholders, physicians and moderate contact with divisional peers.
• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Assist with audits and taxes.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders.
• Manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist the Regional Controller in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers, executives and physicians.
• Perform Revenue Cycle Analysis.
• Review and calculate physician’s compensation per contract.
• Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required.
• 4+ years of experience as an accountant.
• Exceptional with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Dynamics Nav, Vena, Athenahealth and Power BI.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and stress management skills.
• Self-starter, ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Must be willing to travel to all Tampa Bay area locations.
