Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Charlottesville, VA or Eagan, MN, preferred

Summary: Senior Accountant will carry out tasks associated with producing timely/accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies. Responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare journal entries as part of a month-end close process.
• Process Contract module Billing and work with customers and the internal business team to ensure timely and accurate billing and contract revenue recognition.
• Perform month-end reconciliations.
• Review and approve employee expense reports and reimbursements.
• Supervise the work of the staff accountant.
• Other ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned by the controller.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BS in Accounting or related field, CPA a plus
• 2-5 years of professional experience working in finance and/or accounting
• Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel/Word.
• Experience in Sage Intacct preferred
• Motivated and self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced and growing environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to manage time effectively
• Collaborative and a strong team player
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong work ethic and integrity
