Do you have a passion for behind-the-scenes operations that make a nonprofit successful? So do we, and we’re hiring a like-minded Senior Administrative Assistant to support the Chief Program Officer who oversees our School Partnership and Non-Public Schools Programs.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly organized Senior Administrative Assistant (SAA) to the Chief Program Officer of Schools to assist the Chief Program Officer in matters of communication and organization. As an SAA, you'll have a high level of organizational and analytical skills, be able to priortize projects, have strong typing and editing skills, demonstrate good communication skills, and be a flexible & positive team player.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Chief Program Officers schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
  • Manage credit card expense reports, mileage reimbursements and other agency systems for Chief Program Officer and other identified program leaders.
  • Organize meetings, special events, program tours and other staff celebrations, including scheduling, reserving appropriate rooms/spaces, sending notices, communicating with attendees, organizing catering, coordinating gifts, etc.
  • Maintain all aspects of the administrative meetings (minutes, agenda, notes, follow-up, etc.).
  • Prepare correspondence and special project documents including newsletters, update emails to schools networks, general letters, memos, protocols, conferences, etc.
  • Complete research, compile reports, and complete other special projects in support of education or agency wide initiatives or operations.
  • Assist in the completion of projects related to program evaluation and assessment and educational compliance
  • Maintain and update program documents and manuals. Oversees shared resource files such as Google Drive and Sharepoint.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS or equivalent degree.
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, PC and Macintosh.
  • Previous experience in a comparable position is preferred.
  • Ability to structure and perform routine tasks.
  • Ability to work as a team member

Schedule:
  • Full-time, hybrid
  • 5 weeks of paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and additional paid school break days
Benefits:
  • Staring at $27.00 per hour, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications
