We are a comprehensive non-profit organization that serves older adults and people with disabilities in King County. Our mission is to support people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services.

We are seeking a Senior Center Program Manager to join our team at the East African Senior Center in Seattle, WA!

What will YOU do?

The Senior Center Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a multi-service senior center. The Senior Center Program Manager oversees staff and manages budgets, contracts, and programs. Adheres to the rules and regulations of applicable governmental agencies with input from partnering organizations and Senior Center Advisory Groups. The Senior Center Program Manager is expected to be present and work out of all the locations (Yesler, Rainier Beach, and Northgate), on a flexible schedule.

Pay: $70,600 per year.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, On-site, 40 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs, events and activities.
  • Develop and manage assigned budgets and operating plans. Reconcile, code, and approve invoices. Invoice/bill funders. Cultivate new sources of revenue.
  • Develop and maintain a clean and safe environment that encourages participation at the center and utilizes an intercultural model.
  • Identify funding and grant opportunities; prepare and manage grants and reporting.
  • Design and lead asset-mapping and community engagement plans to better inform outreach and service delivery, particularly for isolated and marginalized older adults.
  • Review program and recommend changes, modifications, and/or expansion with appropriate documentation and analysis.
  • Develop a collaborative and effective team in a healthy work environment. Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned employees.
  • Maintain legal and contractual compliance.
  • Represent program/department to internal and external audiences. Provide leadership, effective public relations, advocacy, and information to the target population and community members.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR Four (4) years of related work experience.
  • Minimum of Two (2) years of paratransit experience.
  • Minimum of Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Fluency in Amharic and/or Tigrinya languages.
