This is an on-site in Los Angeles, CA.
Pay Rate: $40/hr - $50/hr
Looking for a full-time (40 hrs/week) Senior CG Generalist. The CG Generalist will be part of a specialized technical team charged with cleaning up and rebuilding our asset pipeline and creating an asset management system over a period of 9 months.
The CG Generalist's Job Responsibilities:
- Model, texture, and light assets
- Create and repair broken shaders on existing assets
- Repath textures and proxies
- Help implement new directory structure
- Restructure and optimize large-scale sets to render faster
- Adjustments of the rigs on characters and props
- Ingest assets into the asset management system
- Extract assets from large sets and set them up as new assets
- Work collaboratively with the CG Supervisor, Pipeline TD, and Production team
The CG Generalist's Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field
- Practical industry experience required
- Excellent working knowledge of a Maya CG animation pipeline
- Extensive experience in texturing and modeling.
- Knowledge of shaders in Redshift
- Lighting experience a plus
- Extensive familiarity with Maya, TSM, Mgear and production tracking software such as Shotgrid
- Rigging experience preferred
- A high technical aptitude
- Superb interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay on schedule
- A growth mindset, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic
