Senior Cyber Security Engineer - ATO / RMF

Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC)

San Diego, CA 92152 (Naval Base Point Loma)

140-160K - Full Time with Benefits - On-Site Work Required

You will support Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC) Code 8.2 cyber security workforce data, system controls, monitoring, administration, and the integration of cybersecurity for Research Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) networks.

The Navy is consolidating numerous ATO packages into one core package and is looking for a key cyber security engineer to lead this initiative.

Implementing STIG checklists across a wide range of technologies and writing and creating DoD cyber security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Importing, exporting, selecting, and assessing controls within eMASS.

Administering eMASS workflows that correspond to RMF steps defining what is required for a successful submission for each step and creating plan of action/milestones within eMASS.

Reviewing Windows, Linux, Cloud, network/applications STIGs, DoD Security Requirement Guides (SRGs) and vendor hardening guides.

Running ACAS vulnerability scans.

Generating reports and proposing remediations for open findings.

Drafting and reviewing security assessment plans (SAPs).

Validating that security controls are configured correctly and meet RMF requirements.

To Qualify:

Active DOD Secret Security Clearance - if you had a clearance within the past 24 months, we may be able to reactivate it.

Active CompTIA Security+CE Certification

Navy Qualified Validator (NQV)

Expertise with Navy eMASS and understand how to import, export, select, and assess controls within eMASS.

Experience assessing NIST 800-53 Controls.

Experience with all steps of the Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF)

The ability to use either PowerShell, JavaScript or Python to automate repetitive tasks.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
