Senior Director, Trade & Portfolio Technology - SLC Management

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Reporting to the SMD & Head of IT, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the technology strategic vision and roadmap for our IBOR platform (and adjacent capabilities) across the SLC Fixed Income business including deal origination, trading life-cycle, portfolio management, position management, cash and reporting ecosystem, as a two in the box with the IBOR Business Platform Owner.

The ultimate objective is to provide traders and portfolio managers with an accurate, real-time consolidated view of portfolios and cash. The successful incumbent will work with the IBOR Platform Owner to prioritize initiatives in line with strategic priorities and drive improvement initiatives to help meet business objectives in collaboration with other stakeholders .

The scope includes the adjacent processes and capabilities available or closely surrounding the IBOR Aladdin platform (such as Research, pre-Trade Compliance, Portfolio and Trading Risk, Management Reporting and other). The scope also includes integration of data across front, middle and back office and driving and supporting automation across our business process landscape

The Senior Director, IBOR Technology Platform Owner will lead a dedicated team of technology SME’s as part of a bigger cross functional platform team and partner with and coach key people to develop and maintain capability development for successful execution of our IBOR strategic roadmap.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Leads Technology vision and implementation of the strategic IBOR Business Platform and adjacent tech capabilities roadmap strategy across SLC Fixed Income, to deliver envisioned business benefits, especially as they apply across horizontal processes, asset classes and business units or operational groups. Identify and close gaps where Aladdin capabilities are under-utilized and address input and output issues
  • Defines and assumes technology responsibility for the Platform priorities and success measures and drives delivery to the committed business outcomes
  • Acts as a trusted Advisor to the IBOR Business Platform Owner
  • Contributes to the Platform’s vision, roadmap (prioritization, resources/squads, budget, stakeholder reporting) and accountability for successful measurable execution of the roadmap and drives technology roadmap
  • Enables technology solutions to the business capabilities/efficiencies/business outcomes and gets stakeholder buy-in on strategic synergies for in-scope capabilities such as PFI and SLC/Crescent (publics/private assets excluding real assets InfraRed, BGO)
  • Partners with technology leaders of the Vertical E2E Business Value Chain Owners to support vertical’s value-chain and business outcomes/execution while building synergies ensuring optimization and process efficiency across asset classes and business lines.
  • Partners with vendor management team to ensure alignment/governance of BRS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

  • Proven experience and deep user knowledge of the Aladdin platform technology, ideally in the asset management services business and connected processes.
  • Modern Technical skills in streaming/real-time technologies, Modern big data and analytics technologies, cloud, ETL, SQL
  • Strong financial services background, prior work experience in Asset Management, Business Development & Technology
  • Experience in building shared platforms and operating models
  • Visionary leadership, technology architecture experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate, influence, and arbitrate competing priorities within a diverse set of user communities and stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Strategic grasp of enterprise business plans, outcomes, and the management tactics necessary to achieve demanding, time-sensitive goals.
  • Strong, multi-discipline background and experience encompassing technology, business management, and enterprise project implementation leadership.
  • Strong decision making, outcome driven, influencing, leading change and communication skills
  • Out-the-box creative thinking and innovative solution building
