Title: Senior Education Sales Consultant
Location: Remote with periodic travel up to 35%
Position Description:
The Education Sales Consultant is responsible for developing and expanding business for all brands with K12 education entities. This is achieved by establishing strong consultative
relationships with state leaders, school districts, and advocacy partners. The focus is to support states and districts in the work of supporting the development, retention, and growth of high-quality teachers and administrators, thus creating a positive effect on teaching and learning for our customers.
Sales and Business Development
Sales Process
- Identify and qualify prospects to add to the sales pipeline through various methods including: leverage of existing customer relationships for cross-selling, independent research, cold outreach, and additional creative approaches
- Lead all aspects of the sales process for the specified territory, including but not limited to: creating and developing proposals and pricing models, conducting presentations, closing sales through effective negotiation, and other activities
- Utilizes available resources to ensure effective territory management
- Build and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships not only with decision-makers and end users at current and prospective clients but, also with community leaders and representatives from relevant business associations
- Network with prospective clients via seminars, conferences, and other events
Knowledge & Learning
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business process, education market, sales process, technology, current trends, and competitive information
- Provide market feedback to internal stakeholders to inform strategy
- Maintain solid working knowledge of the complete range of service offerings and capabilities
Communication
- Create ongoing sales forecasts and provide accurate and timely opportunity information to leadership – primarily by maintaining accurate opportunity tracking and updates in the CRM
- Serve as the main point of contact for prospective clients and the internal team regarding your designated territory
- Maintain accurate sales logs/records and any other pertinent information in the CRM
Client Service
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to enhance effective service delivery

- Maintains process and budgetary discipline within the scope of operation

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree preferred
Years of Experience:
5+ years complex sales experience or 5+ years education experience preferred
Type of Experience:
Sales, Marketing, and/or Education. Experience selling products or services within the K-12 marketplace preferred
Skills/Abilities:
- Able to work autonomously - set priorities and maintain a robust and effective calendar
- Ability to prospect, lead effective sales meetings, and give formal presentations
- Able to manage multiple tasks, and issues, and meet deadlines
