Role + Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to support the Electrical Engineering department with new product development and sustaining engineering activities.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Designing mixed signal circuits, multi-layer circuit boards working within defined mechanical constraints to produce reliable, space efficient boards.
  • Schematic capture, layout and all required output files for mixed signal, multi-layer circuit designs.
  • Electrical Packaging, Integration of off the shelf components, System Testing.
  • Generating all engineering documentation for release to manufacturing.
  • Component and system level testing and documentation.
  • Sustaining engineering.

Qualification + Profile

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in electrical engineering, with electro-optical design preferred.
  • Applied analog and digital design experience.
  • Knowledge of embedded hardware design.
  • C/C++ programming in embedded systems programming preferred.
  • Matlab programming for data analysis and hardware interface experience.
  • DSP, Spice simulation experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with EMC/EMI design techniques.
  • Ability to use standard test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator).
  • Candidate should be a self-starter, possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Schematic and Layout Design with Altium.
  • Experience with product design practices.
  • The position requires daily work at Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis’ headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
