Pay range: $80-$100K
Responsibilities:

The Senior Employee Relations Advisor is responsible for delivering counseling and support to managers and employees of AccentCare on Employee Relations matters. Our objective is to mitigate risk and to promote a positive working environment. The Sr. Employee Relations Advisor manages multiple cases simultaneously while prioritizing the most urgent needs on a wide variety of employee matters. This includes but is not limited to complex investigations, dispute resolution, policy education, performance management, conduct, attendance, and management education related to the Employee Relations function. The Sr. Employee Relations Advisor utilizes their leadership skills and experience to collaborate and motivate other team members to achieve company objectives.

  • Work closely with management to review performance management documentation and terminations prior to taking action to ensure appropriate, lawful, and consistent people practices.
  • Explain and provide advice to employees about company and governmental rules, regulations and procedures, and the need for compliance.
  • Provide day-to-day advice and counsel to Managers on a wide range of employee relations issues including progressive counseling, performance management, company policies and procedures, Title VI, ADA, retaliation, as well as advice on state and local laws
  • Prepare investigative documentation related to complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, Careline Complaints and other work-related issues; recommend appropriate resolution and monitor results.
  • Lead mediation proceedings between employees, supervisors, and department heads to settle work-related conflicts through detailed investigations, making final recommendations for action.
  • Assist with the resolution of EEO and wage claims and partner with legal as needed.
  • Research facts related to individual cases including identifying root causes of issues and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Facilitate training for ER Specialists on assigned subject matter.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations regarding employment practices.
  • Assist in development and implementation of personnel-related policies and procedures.
  • Partner with management to communicate human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations and provide policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to deliver ongoing improvement in the efficiency of human resources practices
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations regarding employment practices.
  • Partner with human capital team to ensure HR processes are aligned and accurate.
  • Assist HR Business Partners with complex downsizing activities.
  • Utilize the ER case management system to track cases from intake to resolution.
  • Manage monthly/quarterly reporting.
  • Escalate issues, trends, and concerns as appropriate to the Employee Relations Director.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree – Field of study: Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Five to ten years (5-10) years of human resources experience required, preferably at an organization with multiple locations.
  • Five to ten years (5-10) years of employee relations experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employee relations practices and experience using them in complex and/or unprecedented situations.
  • Travel up to 20%

  • Intermediate knowledge and skills in the use of computers and software programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of pertinent state, federal, and local regulatory requirements
