Microchip Technology’s beautiful Oregon campus is seeking a qualified, motivated, and creative Process Engineer to help the Process Engineering Department at Microchip's Fab-4 manufacturing facility in Gresham, OR.

Duties (include but not limited to):
  • Sustain implant area processes.
  • SPC/process monitoring.
  • Qualify new implant equipment to run in a high-volume manufacturing mode.
  • Create and optimize implant equipment recipes for wafer processing.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve poor wafer yield and scrap.
  • Implement measures to prevent implant process excursions.
  • Drive projects that improve yield, increase wafer throughput, and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Work collaboratively with Equipment Engineering to optimize PM cycles.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
  • 2 years or more of implant process engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following implant tool platforms: E220/E500, VIISta 810/810EHP, GSD-HE/-200, VIISion 80 or VIISta HP/EHP.
  • BS degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication.

Preferred Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of implant process engineering experience.
  • MS degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Acquaint software.
  • Familiarity with JMP.

Additional Requirements:
  • May need to attend work related meetings or perform tasks on unscheduled days.

Critical Physical Requirements:Able to lift 20 lbs; push, pull approx. 50 lbs; carry 20 lbs; sit 60%; stand 20%; walk 20%; must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing. Work environment could include slippery surfaces, noise or vibrations, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, fumes, or odors.

This is classified as a safety sensitive position.
